Al-Futtaim Auto Centers appoints Shaun Smith as National Manager for FastFit

Al-Futtaim Auto Centers, a newly formed entity within Al-Futtaim Group, today announced the appointment of Shaun Smith as National Manager for FastFit, an express tyre and battery fitting center, with 32 branches spread across all the emirates.

Currently FastFit centers retail tyres, batteries and wheel alignments services, across 6 ADNOC petrol stations, currently still known as Al-Futtaim Tyres and Service Center. The company also manages all Tyre Express outlets in 15 Emarat petrol stations, in addition to one main facility on Sheikh Zayed Road and 10 other workshops, totaling to 32 existing branches across all the emirates

Shaun Smith commented on his appointment saying: "I am delighted to be part of the Al-Futtaim Auto Centers. FastFit emerges from an existing business that has been leader in the tyre fitting industry for the last 20 years. FastFit will see a rapid growth in the very near future within the UAE and in the MENA region. He continued: "The hasty lifestyle that the customers lead nowadays requires a tailor-made service that suits their busy schedules. FastFit introduces a region-first mobile fitting fleet which enables the customer to get his car serviced at the doorstep of his home, office or any other location of his choice. This new development will allow a greater convenience for the customers and we anticipate a great response"

Smith, a UK national, joins FastFit with over 21 years of experience within the tyre industry across all sectors. Prior to his current role, he enjoyed three successful years on a Director of Development Program with Kwik-fit, UK's largest provider of express fitting centres. Previously he occupied the position of Operations Manager with ATS Euromaster where he managed the mobile fitting, strategic development of a 24 hours tyre fitting mobile service before moving on to manage their fast fit centers across the United Kingdom.

FastFit currently serves the world's leading brands such as Toyo Tires, BF Goodrich Tires, Maxxis Tires, Panasonic Car Batteries and GS Batteries to suit all passenger cars, 4x4's, sport utility vehicles and light commercial vehicles. Last year FastFit was the first to offer customers the fastest wheel alignment in the world with the installation of a 4D Master Aligner at the FastFit Center located in Al Quoz.
