Emrill announces record energy savings during Earth Hour 2012

Emrill, the leading Facilities Management company in the UAE, today announced the achievement of its goals to save 20% in carbon emissions during Earth Hour 2012, held on Saturday March 31 from 08:30 pm to 9:30 pm.

Emrill participated in the global event that raises awareness of the need for action on climate change. The Earth Hour theme for 2012 was 'I will, if you will'.

Emrill which boasts a vast portfolio of corporate, residential, community, retail and hospitality clients including Al Bandar, Dubai Festival City, Emirates Living, Arabian Ranches and Dubai Silicon Oasis to name a few, was successful in switching off lights in several key areas and major developments during Earth Hour.

Emrill was successful in achieving its goal to reduce its carbon emissions by 15% during Earth Hour 2011 and went a step further to demonstrate their commitment to the environment by upping this figure by an extra 5%.

In addition to contributions during Earth Hour 2011, over 411 Emrill employees extended the company's energy conservation efforts to go beyond the call of duty and signed individual pledges to increase awareness among their colleagues to adopt energy efficient methods and techniques into their own day-to-day schedules.
