Al-Futtaim Panatech displays world’s largest 4K2K flat panel TV at its showroom in The Dubai Mall Al-Futtaim Panatech, exclusive distributor of Panasonic products in the UAE,
will showcase - for the first time in the UAE - the world's largest flat panel,
the Panasonic 152-inch Plasma TV at its showroom in the Dubai Mall.
The ultra-large 152-inch Full HD 3D plasma TV, which delivers true 3D movie-theater
experience, follows the development of the industry's first 103-inch TV which
Panasonic introduced in 2008 and the home theater size 50-inch Full HD 3D TV
in 2009.
The 152-inch TV features a revolutionary new panel which Panasonic developed
with its new super-efficient quadruple luminance efficiency technology. The
technology enhances the panels unique advantages as a self-illuminating device,
contributing to delivering an overwhelmingly immersive experience to viewers.
The Panasonic 152-inch Full HD 3D TV creates a true full HD 3D world by carefully
reproducing 3D content.
Shaun Sullivan, General Manager, Al-Futtaim Panatech said: "We are excited
to introduce the world's largest flat panel TV to our customers. The 4K2K screen
resolution takes TV technology - even beyond full high definition. The Panasonic
152-inch Full HD 3D panel is ideal for customers wanting the ultimate real theatre
like experience in their homes. I welcome everyone to experience this truly
remarkable TV and its features by walking in to our showroom at The Dubai Mall."
The panel offers excellent response to moving images with full moving picture
resolution, making them suitable for rapid 3D image display. The 152-inch Plasma
panel with its high Ultrahigh-speed drive technology featuring super-high efficiency
technology, which was made possible by the self-illuminating plasma display,
produces approximately 4 times the amount of information (4,096 x 2,160 pixels)
of a conventional Full-HD panel (1,920 x 1,080 pixels). Even with its gigantic
screen size, the 4K2K display faithfully expresses bright, highly detailed content
that fills the entire screen with life-like images.
The panel also incorporates a crosstalk reduction technology, essential for
producing clear 3D images. Compared to other display technologies that use line-at-a-time
driving method, PDPs use frame-at-a-time driving method that gives PDP TVs an
advantage in crosstalk reduction in principle.
Panasonic has successfully developed a unique technology to minimize double-image
that occurs when left- and right-eye images are switched alternately. The development
has resulted in the 3D compatible plasma display that can render clear and smooth
high-quality pictures by accurately reproducing video sources.
The 152-inch Full HD 3D plasma panel retails at AED 2,500,000/- and is only
available at the Al-Futtaim Panatech showroom in The Dubai Mall.
